Liberal Fascism for Liberal Reading

Reviews of : Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Change (Jonah Goldberg)
Fascism has always been a phenomenon of the left. This is what Goldberg argues on his first book titled Liberal Fascism. This book is provocative and well-research book. Goldberg teases our curiousness with the chapter titles such as Adolf Hitler: Man of the Left and Brave New Village: Hillary Clinton and the Meaning of Liberal Fascism.
He shocks the reader with his studies. But his study sounds hilarious too. He studied the conceptual overlap between fascism and ideas deriving from the environmental movement. He takes Hollywood, Democratic Party and what he calls other left-wing organs as the background of his studies. Adolf Hitler and Hillary Clinton are not the only persons that he called have something to do with fascism. He argues that fascism does not only belong to Mussolini. There is also JFK that he called stinks of fascist political readers.
Goldberg tries to swing between revisionist historical analyses and the application of fascist themes to American popular culture. Goldberg’s writing sounds like music to conservative’s ears as he draws parallel relationship between Nazi Germany and the New Deal. He also draws controversial arc from Mussolini to The Matrix very well. Goldberg argues seriously about fascism in a funny way on this book.
