Friendship will be everlasting topics for novel. This time, Mary Ann Shaffer writes about friendship that grew after the war in 1946. She writes the story into an amazing novel entitles The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society. This novel is about an author that grows friendship with a unique community and finally she also finds her world there.
The author’s name is Juliet Ashton and she is a 30 years old single woman. She has written many articles on the newspaper during the war. And now, she is trying to find another idea to write. She sitting in her flat and suddenly she receives a letter from an unknown man. She opens the letter and lately she finds out that the man’s name is Dawsey Adams. He is a man who lives in Guernsey and he is the member of Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society. She replies the letter and she gets much information from him. The man tells Juliet about the community formation when Germany occupied Guernsey.
She keeps in touch with the man and everything is getting more interesting. Juliet receives many letters that tells her the uniqueness of the community. The man even tells Juliet each member character. She finds the great personalities in them and finally she decides to visit them.
