Judd Foxman is an unemployed man who is about to have a divorce with Jen, his wife, who has left him for his boss. Then, Judd lost his father because of cancer. Before he died, his father has a request that his family sit seven days of Shiva. So, Judd and his siblings return to his parent’s house for seven days with his dysfunctional family including his mom, his older sister with her husband and kids, his older brother and his wife, and his youngest brother.
During the seven days of mourning of his father, the intricate things happen. The first is about the relationship between Judd and Paul, his older brother that is dominated by old resentment. Further, Judd’s sister who takes the opportunity to contact her past love. And also Phillip, his younger brother, who brings home his much older fiancé. This novel will bring up the emotion of the readers. It hits the market on August 6, 2009 with list price of $25.95.
