Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap… and Others Don’t
Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap… and Others Don’t (Jim Collins)
Here is a new great business book written by Jim Collins. Jim Collins has done a research for more than five years to answer whether a good company can turn into a great company. During the research, Collins and his team sorted through a list of 1,435 companies that made improvements in the performance. They finally found 11 companies that had made the leap from good to great companies.
From the research, it shows that the role of humility in leaderships takes an important role to the success of the companies. The main goal of great leaders is when they focus it on the success of the company rather than on themselves. Further, he also reveals that good to great doesn’t require a high-profile CEO, latest technology, innovative change management, and a good business strategy. The key of success is on the discipline of the people involved in the corporate.
He provides dozens of stories and examples of the disciplined actions that lead a company to its success. Further, there are also some good and excellent road map that will be beneficial for any organization. This book is a must read book for managers and CEOs to lead their companies into great success.
