Dhamma friend,
My master once told a Prof.of psychology from Cambrige U(a Buddhist as well) that he is a seeker of knowledge only.Having knowledge is good, but the ability to use the knowledge to advance spiritually is better.
The Buddha has shown us the WAY,we have to step onto the path and travel on it.All the academic discussion is good, but without travelling the Path shown by the Buddha,it is useless.
'Appamadena sampadetha vaya dhamma sankhara'
'Work diligently. All component things are impermanent.'
You have consistent long term gains and you are 21 years of age?
Not possible.
Keep it up…doing and learning are critical to long term success.
But
No one in the money management business will consider you having "consistent long term results" until you are over the age of 30 with at least 5 years managing OPM.
Get your degree in finance from a top school. Get a job at either a big fund company or a boutique with a good reputation. Get registered and licensed. And listen to your mentors.
Unless you are some body's son (or daughter) your school, your company, and your mentor will be the three keys to success in money management…oh, that, and not flaming out.
On Flaming out.
Every 5 years or so a new crop of WizKids rise up, separating themselves from the chaff. They are usually 30-somethings who have been giving the full reigns of power within the last couple of years. They ride the new-new thing fast and hard. When the winds change they crash and burn. It wasn't a new-new thing. It was the old old thing (being first to a new trend and riding the momentum up as everyone else catches on).

Hours for you to type copy and paste
I think if he really needed to see his friend, the letter would be more desperate in tone and definitely shorter. Think about authenticity when you write- would a person in trouble take the time to be redundant? Would he be so calm?
You've done a good job creating suspense, but work on authentic behaviors for your characters.
NOTHING VENTURED NOTHING GAINED.
GOD BLESS
Elvis is dead. Autopsy performed. Death certificate issued. A conspiracy of the magnitude described in the article would require the cooperation of an extraordinary number of people. It defies all reasonable logic to state otherwise.

Sounds like severe depression to me. I'm glad you said suicide is out of the question. You need urgent treatment, in my opinion. Even if you don't believe so, just go and rule it out, ok? Bring the above letter with you.
I'm no psychiatrist, thus not qualified to give you a diagnosis, but I have seen this type of problematic before, and it usually doesn't just go away. Do not rule out medication until you are strong enough to function without it. If you have a chemical imbalance you have to compensate for that first.
And don't listen to those who will tell you to just "snap out of it". They obviously don't understand the nature of depression. It's one of the least helpful things you'll hear, along with "some people have it worse."
Please go get the help you need, asap.
Good luck,
Rachel
