Book Review: Beat the Bitch by Tess Stimson
The initial chapters of the book Beat the Bitch do not really create a positive impression of the author. It may appear to you Tess Stimson is trying to make women feel guilty about all the sins of their men. Once you are past that stage, Stimson assumes the role of your best friend through the pages of the book. Not that she joins you (over a drink) in saying all men are bastards, rather she asks you to investigate. Find out the truth and act only if you are sure your man really is a cheater.
Marriage Is Hard Work
The writing becomes more reason based afterwards, especially when Stimson says that marriage is hard work (no, she is not talking about dusting). It is difficult to feel valued if all the society expects from you is bitch about your man. Women are notorious for whining their man is not romantic enough, when was the last time you did something romantic for him? Although the author is trying to tell you how to retain your man and keep away the other woman, she has taken great pains to make it clear you need not follow all the advice given in the book. You are the one who takes the decision.
The Decision Is Yours
It is completely your prerogative to either follow the advice to try and retain the man or take steps to get rid of him. Stimson also gives you some great financial advice in case your man leaves you in the lurch. Overall, she has made quite an impressive career out of writing on her experiences on being a scarlet woman as well as a cheated wife. Since she has been on both sides of the fence, she is in the best position to offer suggestions keeping the real situation in the mind.
Based On Her Own Experiences
She is also a journalist, besides being a bestselling author, and her earlier works The Adultery Club and The Infidelity Chain have also done really well. She has based these books on her own life experiences. Her new book, Beat the Bitch, is the natural corollary to the previous titles and it guides the women who want to put a stop to the activity of the predatory women. Beat the Bitch by Tess Stimson also guides you on how to find out whether your husband has been unfaithful or not, and how to get your married life more romantic than ever.
Do You Want Him to Return To the Fold?
The book recommends that you should continue to be loving towards your man and should make sure to do everything to make him return to the fold. Of course, it is not going to convince the modern women who believe in equality but then the decision is always yours. The author further says the idea that we need to work on the marriage is not fashionable anymore. She says we do not realize there is a difference between the real world and the ideal world. If you don’t really care if he goes out to have an affair, this book is not for you.
